Bahama or Bust!

Mae and I went to Altantis this past week! I had forgotten how awesome this resort is! We never had a dull moment. The hard part is fitting it all in. We stayed 4 nights and could have easily stayed for 2 more without a moment of boredom.
Day 1- We shopped every single store on the property - there are 4 hotels and shops in each plus plenty lining the marina. We had a blast exploring each one. We got in a bit of snorkeling at the reef right ff the beach in front of the Cove hotel. Dinner at Murray's Deli- the best Roast Beef sandwich ever. Enough for 4 people easily. Afterwards we got Ben and Jerry's and admired all of the yachts parked in the marina. Then late night we caught the last free movie at the cinema inside of the Coral Towers hotel.
Day 2- Atlantis has the worlds largest outdoor aquarium and we got to snorkel in it! So fun! Huge Manaray, tons of fish and a few sharks. So fun- you can't miss it!
Afterwards, we walked with the sharks in the Shark Exhibit in the Mayan Temple. You wear astronaut looking helmets that supply air so that you can literally walk inside the tank with the sharks. This was my daughters favorite activity. That night we ate sushi at Nobu inside the hotel casino and of course watched all 3 movies in a row at the free cinema inside the hotel.
Day 3- the hotel now has dolphins on site. We did the underwater adventure which included swimming with the dolphins using underwater propellers. Pretty fun but they take some getting used to. Our favorite part was when the dolphins push you on kick boards across the pool. And you guessed it- Movies Movies Movies capped of the night!
Day 4- Spa Day and Swimming. The hotel is know for its swimming pools- there are 2 lazy rivers, a ton of slides and lots of raft rides. We did it all. Don't be scared to tube down the Mayan Temple- this was our favorite! Afterwards you can relax in the Mandara spa- get a pedicure- they have amazing products that lead to a 5 star pedicure. You may never get one this good ever again!
Day 5- Snuba offshore- my far the best activity we did. Amazing! Snuba is snorkeling without the tank and bc vest. Instead your air regulator (mouthpiece) is attached to a tube that hooks to a tank above water on a float. 2 people per float so you have to stick together but it was very freeing to swim underwater without all of the equipment. Amazing schools of fish and reefs. We'll definitely do this again!

We're looking forward to coming back soon! Our future things to do at Atlantis list includes the Segway beach tour, horseback riding on the beach and more SNUBA. Can't wait!
